Welcome/ Bienvenue! My name is Kelsey Chiasson (She/Her/Elle). I am a registered counselling therapist candidate (RCT-C) with the Nova Scotia College of Counselling Therapists. I enjoy working with individuals from various backgrounds, cultures, and lived experiences by providing client-centred counselling services to individuals (18+) and couples in person and virtually.

I strive to create a safe, authentic, and nonjudgmental space by helping each client with a tailored therapeutic approach to fit their unique life journey and challenges.  I truly believe that everyone is an expert in their own life, and strengths are to be discovered within each of us. I recognize that reaching out for help can be frightening and . My role as a therapist is to provide you with a space to explore your challenges at your own pace without feeling overwhelmed.

Before receiving my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology (MACP), my education journey included an undergraduate degree in Health Science and a Diploma in Massage Therapy. As a Registered Massage Therapist and founder of my practice, I have had the opportunity to grow and learn various skills. This has led to a further desire to learn more about trauma and anxiety and their role within the human mind and body, ultimately becoming a genuine passion for myself.

My therapeutic areas of interest include anxiety, depression, trauma, chronic pain, burnout, and grief. From a theoretical standpoint, I pull from several theoretical interventions and have training in Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, and Narrative and Somatic Therapy.

On a more personal note, I can often be found cooking, hiking, running, camping with my partner, or visiting beautiful Cape Breton Island, which holds a special space in my heart.

I look forward to connecting and walking on this journey alongside with you,

Everyone is Welcome
